SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Parergon publishes articles on all aspects of medieval and early modern studies. We are especially interested in material that crosses traditional disciplinary boundaries and takes new approaches.

Articles should be within 5,000 and 8,000 words length, with footnotes kept to a reasonable proportion. (Notes of 3,000 words may be considered.) Submissions will be sent without indication of author to two independent expert referees, who report to the Editor. Since most correspondence is by email, please give notice of any change of email address. The refereeing process may last 5-6 months.

Parergon uses the same style sheet as that of the Modern Language Review, the journal of the Modern Humanities Research Association. Consult the MHRA Style Book, or a recent copy of the Modern Language Review, if in doubt.

Please consult the Parergon Style Guide before submitting your article.

Articles can be submitted as an e-mail attachment to the following address: alynch@arts.uwa.edu.au

Word or rtf files are preferred as attachments but not obligatory.

Also send a double-spaced, single-sided, printed copy to:
